Understanding Business Finance
The Understanding Business Finance Course introduces business finance and its role within modern organisations. Students learn key financial concepts, accounting techniques, and funding options. They develop skills to analyse both qualitative and quantitative financial data. Additionally, the course explores leadership and management in financial contexts, showing how finance connects with other business functions. Students also consider corporate responsibility, sustainability, global citizenship, and risk management when making financial decisions. By linking theory with practical examples, learners gain the knowledge to make informed and responsible business choices.
The Understanding Business Finance Course forms part of the Diploma in Business Level 4 (MQFL5) . Students can continue with the Diploma at a later stage as part of their academic progression.
The entry requirements for the Understanding Business Finance course are as follows:
- 4 O’ Levels including English and Mathematics
- MQF Level 4 Certificate or equivalent
