I started my course with STC in BSc (Hons) Computer Science Degree Pathway and I'm now proud to say that I work at Izola Bank as an IT Support Officer. I feel like my time at STC gave me specialized attention which allowed me the opportunity to develop my own skills and ideas and in that sense I was given room to grow. The course itself gave my CV a great deal of credibility and allowed me to develop my career into the position/job I find myself in now. In 5 years' time I hope to take that even further by pursuing a role or a masters in Computer Science.

I enrolled with STC back in September 2019 on a part-time basis with the ambition of creating a career path for myself in business.  During my time at STC I experienced myself grow in an environment that gave me full support not only in my education but even in achieving my personal goals. 

Since leaving STC, I started a software development company called Jett Labs. Other than the excellent technical course material, my time at STC helped me to develop my critical thinking and project management skills to allow me to tackle bigger and bigger challenges.

I previously studied a Diploma in Computing at STC, after which I have now moved on to Diploma in Cybersecurity. I feel that STC gave me the opportunity to develop my skills knowledge, in the sense that I was given room to grow. In fact, I am now able to say that I work at WilliamHill International as an IT Administrator. The course itself gave my CV a great boost which allowed me to develop my career to the job I am currently in. I hope that in 5 years’ time, I take that further by pursuing a role in Cybersecurity.

Since the late 90’s I have always been amazed by computer technology. I used to experiment with my home computer and I learned a lot from trial and error. However, for each time I failed my father had to call the technician who would come home to fix the computer. I remember keeping and an eye on what the technician was doing and taking notes. At the time I didn’t have the opportunity to study computing at school.

Pursuing a career in IT has been my ultimate dream, but life has taken me on many different paths. I decided to join STC in October 2020 for a Diploma in Computing, so as to help me progress further at my current workplace at Handson Systems Ltd. My goal is to attain to a higher role with greater responsibility at the company and I believe that the time I am spending at STC will help me achieve this. I would definitely recommend STC to anyone as the lectures are very student-centred, aimed at instilling lifelong skills and practical experiences. Apart from this, I feel that my well-being is always considered and finding a helping hand is always guaranteed when needed. I am sure that by continuing my studies at STC, I will be able to pursue my dream career as a software developer.

I am on the cusp of finishing my STC course in Business Management. Once I have completed this course, I intend to further my studies in business, finance and other related areas. My time at STC has provided me with a holistic and comprehensive foundation in this field because the course touched on many pertinent aspects of the business world such as accounting, economics, e-commerce, marketing, mathematical finance, business communications, essentials to management and understanding of business organisations. I would recommend STC to prospective students as, in my opinion, it is the ideal stepping stone between sixth form and university. In five years’ time, I hope to form part of an organisation that contributes meaningfully to society.

I had joined STC Higher Education at the start of 2019 where I started the Level 4 Diploma in Computing which I have now completed some time ago. Currently, I am going through my Advanced Diploma Level 5 in Computing (Cybersecurity). I currently work as an ICT Support Assistant within the Maltese Public Service which is the first scale you can get in the ICT industry within the Public Service. Thanks to STC Higher Education I have completed my first steps towards helping me go up the ladder towards the next step in the field, an ICT Support Officer. With the help of STC, I have a chance to even go beyond that!

I am currently attending the Diploma In Computing with STC Malta. My plan within the next two years is to then go on to earn a degree in computer science.
