I pursued a Diploma in Computing with STC in 2020 and I am working at a local bank. I had a very valuable time with STC because the course gave me the ability to enhance my object-oriented skills along with general IT techniques that is taking my experience at my job to another level.

I am a Police Officer working in the Major Crimes Unit. I have successfully finished my Diploma in Computing Level 4  with STC on a part-time basis and I have continued to further my studies with STC to gain my Diploma in Computing Level 5 followed by a Degree in Computer Science. The knowledge I have gathered during the course has assisted me in identifying new ways on how law enforcement may benefit from technology to help in crime prevention.

After several years working within the IT industry, I am currently occupying the post of IT Manager at a leading FMCG distributor. With all the challenges that this role brings with it, I felt the need to further my knowledge and skills by starting a degree in computer science. Having attended a couple of other short courses with STC earlier in my career, I had already experienced the individualistic and personal approach STC gives to their students. With this in mind, it was an obvious choice for me to choose STC to help me continue my studies.

I attended my course at STC in 2020 and it’s with excitement that I can say that I’m currently studying the business course I have always aimed for. STC helped me develop new skills such as critical thinking, analytical thinking and also how to collaborate in teams. Furthermore, STC helped me to better understand what career in the business environment I really wanted by going through a variety of different subjects during the first year of the business degree.

Currently, I’m working as a Systems Analyst in the Information Management Unit at the Ministry for Health. I had always contemplated continuing my studies to enhance my abilities and obtain more qualifications for career advancement opportunities. As a result, in 2017 I decided to go to back to school. In September of that year I started my first course (Diploma in Computing) with STC, as STC offers very interesting courses. After finalising the diploma I went ahead to apply for the BSc(Hons) in Cybersecurity. Having a full-time job and undertaking a part-time degree course at times was quite challenging, but I always tried to remember the end goal: attaining a degree qualification. At STC, I found comprehensive and helpful lecturers and staff that helped me do just that.

At STC I’m currently studying an advanced diploma in Business and I feel that STC provided me with the information and support I needed to be able to attain my degree. Not only has STC helped me grow within my studies, but also helped me further understand the business world.

I am currently in my second year for the NCC Diploma in Business (MQF Level 5) and my goal is to graduate next year in the Business and Marketing Management BA (Hons).

I am studying BA(Hons) in Business Management with the University of Wolverhampton.

Currently I am finishing my final semester in BSc Computer Science & Systems Engineering and enrolling for career position in the IT industry as a Software Developer/Engineer. My time at STC served as a foundation for the start of my journey in the field of Computer Science. The course at STC exposed me to trending technologies and a big range of IT-related subjects, giving me a holistic learning experience of both theory and practice in the computing domain.
